The breakdown of SEO
Search Engine Optimization has become a crucial part of the marketing strategy. It keeps your business relevant by placing it in the top places of the results of search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. But what exactly is SEO and what are the elements that come at play?
Start by taking a look at your website. Is it user-friendly? Does the menu contain all the necessary buttons to browse through pages seamlessly and to find what’s needed? Also, is your website ADA compliant? Users will immediately leave a website that is not legible, appealing, or easy to navigate through.
SEO doesn’t stop at having a great-looking website, it should also be updated frequently. The easiest and most effective way to do this is by having content updates, meaning changing the copy periodically to demonstrate your website is staying “fresh.” Demonstrate the search engine robots your business is running by including any offers in the website and also by constantly adding, changing, or moving keywords around.
Having blogs that link to your website or that are directly included in their own page is an excellent way to add keywords to your website constantly. Blogs should be about topics that are relevant to your company, and of a minimum of three-hundred words. Writing blogs can be a lot of fun! They are a good opportunity to get creative and keep the consistency of your organizations’ voice! Share events, achievements, tips, anything you can think about through blogs.
Staying proactive in social media shows exactly that: that your business or organization is staying active online, and the biggest advantage of social media is that you can have direct interactions with other users! Create a Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, and post regularly. Remember to put those keywords in use!
